Epson EcoTank printers are incredibly cost-effective, but their liquid ink system has a major vulnerability: if you don't print at least once a week, the ink dries inside the delivery tubes. This results in the printer going through all the mechanical motions of printing, but pushing out completely blank pages.
Because the ink tanks physically have ink in them, the printer's logic board does not trigger an "Out of Ink" error. To force the dried ink out of the nozzles, you must utilize Epson's internal maintenance software.
Before attempting a high-pressure flush, always start with a standard automated cleaning sequence to protect the nozzle seals.
If a standard cleaning fails, you must run a Power Cleaning. This forces a massive amount of ink through the tubes at high pressure to blow out hardened clogs.
Running multiple Power Cleaning cycles rapidly fills the printer's internal Waste Ink Pad. Once the digital counter detects the pad is full, the printer will trigger an "End of Service Life" error and permanently lock down all functions to prevent a physical ink spill on your desk.
If your printer has locked you out with a "Service Required" or waste ink pad error, our certified technicians can remotely bypass the lockdown. We use specialized service utility software to digitally reset your page counter and restore your printer's functionality immediately.
Are you receiving a "Service Required" error? Our technicians can remotely reset your Epson waste ink counter right now.
